King County WTD – West Point Treatment Plant OGADS Modifications

Description

The project involved considering modifications to or replacements of, the oxygen generation facility and the oxygen dissolution system, including the surface aerators, motors, and generators. The project team identified and evaluated a pool of alternatives for improving the energy efficiency of the oxygen generation and oxygen dissolution systems, identified 2-4 best apparent alternatives for each system and recommended a preferred alternative for each system.

P&M provided professional cost estimating services that included life cycle cost estimates for the various alternatives.

Responsibilities

P&M was a sub-consultant to CH2M HILL that was selected by King County Wastewater Treatment Division to provide professional engineering and design related services for Phase 1: Alternative Analysis – of the West Point Treatment Plant Oxygen Generation and Dissolution System Modifications project.
