P&M teamed with CH2MHill Engineers, Inc., as a sub-consultant to provide project controls, scheduling & estimating services for the CSO Program Management project. One of the projects under this program is the Long Term Control Plan that includes several new CSO projects that are in various phases of development. The long range plan will create a comprehensive strategy to reduce the Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) into lakes and streams of Puget Sound. The plan will:

  • Identify areas of Seattle where CSO reduction projects are required 
  • Evaluate solutions for reducing CSOs in affected areas 
  • Select a preferred alternative for each affected area 
  • Recommend a schedule for designing and constructing projects from 2016–2025

Responsibilities

P&M provides project controls, scheduling and estimating services and is working in close coordination with CH2MHILL and SPU Project Managers in the development and updates to the cost loaded schedules for new CSO projects using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. P&M reviews proposed changes to cost, schedules and scope and provides recommendations on changes to manage projects to meet their respective milestones on an on-going basis through out life of the contract.

P&M was also tasked to provide cost estimating services that include estimate review, validation and update at 30/60/90/100 percent design; and attend meetings with SPU project delivery team to discuss findings.
