Port of Seattle – Schedule Analysis Services
Description
In February 2009, the Port of Seattle selected P&M to provide project and construction schedule analysis services. As stipulated, P&M would provide guidance, direction and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control and schedule problems. P&M interfaced with the Client and Contractors, attended regular meetings and developed statistical reports.
Responsibilities
P&M, as the Prime Consultant, supported the Port of Seattle with project and construction schedule analysis that included but were not limited to schedule review, evaluation and forecast of current status against an established baseline schedule; assessment of impacts due to design or construction changes and schedule slippages; development and
maintenance of critical path logic networks; customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements; and, reporting of schedule status to appropriate resident engineers and project managers.
Some of the projects supported under this contract include:
- SeaTac International Airport Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Upgrades
- SeaTac International Airport Pedestrian Bridge Project
- SeaTac International Airport Terminal Escalator Modernization (TEM) project
For the TEM project, an evaluation was made on the Baseline Network Analysis Schedule submitted by General Contractors in response to a request for a Best and Final offer to design and build 44 escalators at SeaTac airport . P&M presented the results and recommendation to the Port’s RFP Evaluation Committee.
