P&M is part of a consultant team, led by Moffatt & Nichol, assisting the Port of Seattle Seaport Division in the planning and engineering design of upgrading and modifying the existing container terminal facilities at Terminal 5 to accommodate berthing and loading/unloading of larger ships and improve electrical supply and modifications. The Consultant team is anticipated to provide some or all of the following services:

• Program Controls
• Terminal Planning
• Survey Support
• Environmental Support
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Architectural Design
• Engineering Design Support
• Construction Planning

Description
The project work includes multiple interconnected terminal development elements which are generally categorized as survey and inspection of existing conditions; waterside and landside crane rail reconstruction; rehabilitation of existing distressed dock structural elements; fender system replacement; underwater retaining wall construction; berth deepening; ground improvement; supply of electrical power and communication for new cranes and reefers; replacement of existing dock utilities; and, additional modifications based on future tenant agreement.

P&M is responsible for the program controls: developing and updating project and construction schedules; cost controls and reporting of cash flow (planned vs. actual); risk management support; and, progress tracking and reporting including review and update of the preliminary program developed by the project team prior to P&M involvement.
