In September 2012 P&M together with Jacobs Project Management Co. was awarded the contract to support the Port of Seattle in the overall management and controls of this ~$500M construction program. The program will be delivered under the alternative delivery contracing method - General Contractor/Construction Mananger (GCCM).
P&M provides program and project controls support:
- Cost Engineering & Cost Controls
- Cost Estimating
Manage project budgets and forecasts; Review and track expenditures; Review projects costs, forecast and identify potential forecast changes; Review construction Trend Logs and input to Skire Unifier; etc.
Conceptual estimates for prospective and new projects; Detailed review of Third Party estimates at 15/30/60/90/100 percent design; Detailed review of Engineer's estimate for bidding; Estimates for various alternatives and for Value Engineering; Analysis of bid results amongst others.
Conceptual schedule for prospective and new projects; Schedule validation during stages of design, including schedule changes associated with cost trends; Maintain Master schedule integrating all project schedules; etc.
The project, North SeaTac Airport Renovations (NorthSTAR) program includes renovations to the North Satellite (NSAT), Concourse C, Concourse D and the Main Terminal.
The program entails upgrades and modifications to existing facilities at SeaTac International Airport to accommodate Alaska Air Group (AAG) goals to relocate to the NSAT, to improve passenger service, to replace obsolete infrastructure systems and to meet current seismic standards.
The project has two sponsors: Port of Seattle and AAG. The Port has the overall lead and AAG is an integral part of the project team. AAG has a vision for improving the curb-to-gate experience of its passengers and improving employee spaces.
